The dates of the Southwestern Skunkworks correlate with the school calendar, and will begin with training on Saturday, August 17, 2019 and end on May 3, 2020.
The Southwestern College Skunkworks Site is open to Southwestern College Students who are interested in joining God in mission to students in a college campus setting. Students interested in participating in Skunkworks on the Southwestern College campus are required to fill out our online application here.
The primary purpose of any Skunkworks site is to create a disciple-making movement, where disciples make disciples. The Skunkworks community will work together in innovative ways to build God’s Kingdom on campus, and invite students into a new or deeper relationship with Jesus. Students will live together in Christian community on campus, practicing the spiritual disciplines and living by a rule of life. Students will learn together about sharing their Christian faith in practical and creative ways, and will discern together how God is calling them to make disciples in their context.
Overseeing the Skunkworks site, Molly will provide training and support throughout the year. She will work with the site director to make sure the group is accomplishing their purposes for being a group.
As acting site director, Jean will help the team to inspire shared visions for mission and execute them. She is responsible for community accountability in their covenant life and work together.
